Threats and Intimidation One of the most hellish aspects of Neighbors From Hell is that they bring threats and intimidation to their victims, so that we won't call in authorities or take other action against them. Threats needn’t be physical to cause serious anxiety for the Good Neighbor Underclass. Primarily, forms we see of threatening and intimidating behavior by bad neighbors are emotional – Complain to me about my noise and I’ll make it louder Complain about my vicious dog and I’ll be sure he’s let loose more often Call the police and I’ll get the whole neighborhood to see you as a whiney, uptight jerk who can’t get along with his own neighbors. Emotional threats seldom constitute criminal offenses, while physical threats and various forms of intimidation do. Police reports should be filed whenever a physical threat is made, and it's best to have some form of proof since criminals are not known for honesty. And, as police are known to say, without evidence, it's a matter of "he-said, she-said."
